For Mac users only: The analysis toolpak is not icluded in the Mac version of Excel, but you can download a free substitute from http://www.analystsoft.com/en/products/statplusmacle/ I have not tested the software, and I don’t have a Mac, but it sounds promising. Make sure to stick with the free version, it should be fine for our purposes. Attached are some instructions for using that software for Mac users that might be helpful.

Practice Problems

I have provided practice problems with worked out solutions. I suggest you work out the practice problems on your own and then use the solutions to confirm your responses. You should study these notes carefully, follow along with the examples in the textbook, and practice the exercises in the notes using Microsoft Excel until you are comfortable with the concepts.
